A plate dedicated to Ra
A plate dedicated to Ra

Like the bowl, I painted a plate and it has the glyphs of Ra’s name on it. I chose Ra because He is the most important God in the Egyptian religion. Nothing else to say really…

The Waterlillies

Another Monet Copy

Another Monet Copy

Just a copy of Monet’s waterlillies. Used watercolour paint on canvas. Not much to say but its probably one of my favourite pieces because it looks a lot like the painting i was copying, and like Monet, I didn’t use black at all, even to achieve darker shades which was something I aimed to do for this painting.

Abstract

Abstract background

Abstract background

This is a painting done on cavas using watercolour paints. I copied and slightly changed a picture when doing this. Using warm colours; oranges, browns, purples, etc. Was going to be a background and then paint something in the foreground but left it just as an abstract background. No reason why really.

Copy of Monet's Painting

Copy of Monet's Painting

This is a copy of one of Monet’s paintings. Its done with watercolour paint on canvas. This painting was for my mum and hangs in the hallway. Not much to say about it really. I like Monet and copying his paintings so there are quite a few copies of his paintings that I have done as you will soon find out…

Side View

These two pictures are of a bowl I painted. It has an Egyptian theme because, lets face it, Egypt is amazing! Ok well, I think Ancient Egypt is amazing anyways. The Eye of Horus is used for protection and on the side is Horus’ name written in glyphs. The outside is plain but the inside is quite busy which gives it a sense of contrast. Not sure what prompted with but I like it…

Sketch of a girl

Sketch of a girl

A basic drawing of a girl that was on a pair of jeans that I have. More of sketch than a finished piece. Not much to it really. I was bored when I was drawing her and so I occupied myself by drawing her…

Watercolour painting on canvas board

Red carnations painted on canvas board using watercolour paints. This was almost like a tribute to my Nan who I never managed to meet but who I (apparently) take after looks-wise (the Irish in me anyways). This was her favourite type of flower…

Poster paint on canvas board

A parrot silhouette in blue using poster paints. This is on cavas board again and like most of the other recent entries, this is quite a few years old. Copied it from a picture.
